What’s Involved in the Process?
Step 1 – Application Submission
- Training providers, institutions, or organizations submit an application for accreditation.
- The application includes detailed information about the program, such as learning objectives, content, delivery methods, assessment criteria, and trainer qualifications.
- Required documentation includes policies on equality, accessibility, learner feedback, and quality assurance.
Step 2 – Initial Review
- Our accreditation team conducts a preliminary check to confirm eligibility and completeness of the application.
- Feedback is provided if additional information or clarification is required before proceeding.
Step 3 – Comprehensive Evaluation
Each program undergoes a detailed review against our accreditation framework:
- Content Quality – Relevance, accuracy, and alignment with current industry standards.
- Learning Outcomes – Clear, measurable, and achievable outcomes that enhance professional skills.
- Delivery & Engagement – Appropriateness of teaching methods (in-person, online, blended) and learner engagement strategies.
- Trainer/Facilitator Credentials – Verification of expertise, qualifications, and professional background.
- Assessment & Feedback – Mechanisms for measuring learner progress and incorporating feedback.
- Ethics & Compliance – Adherence to professional, legal, and ethical standards.
Step 4 – Panel Review
- A panel of independent experts reviews the evaluation report.
- The panel may request further clarification, evidence, or adjustments from the provider.
- This stage ensures impartiality and transparency in the decision-making process.
Step 5 – Accreditation Decision
- Programs that meet the required standards are awarded CPD accreditation.
- Accreditation is granted for a defined period (typically 1–3 years), subject to renewal.
- Providers receive a formal accreditation certificate and the right to display the National CPD Body’s quality mark.
Step 6 – Ongoing Monitoring & Compliance
- Accredited programs are subject to periodic monitoring to ensure continued compliance.
- Providers must submit annual reports, including learner feedback, updated materials, and evidence of continuous improvement.
- Non-compliance may lead to suspension or withdrawal of accreditation.
Step 7 – Renewal & Continuous Improvement
- Before accreditation expiry, providers must undergo a renewal process.
- Renewal requires evidence of program effectiveness, updates in line with industry changes, and demonstration of ongoing learner impact.
- This ensures that CPD programs remain current, innovative, and valuable.
